Job Description
Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist on a 12 Month Contract based in Stafford.
This Role is Inside IR35
Responsibilities of the Senior Quality Assurance Specialist
- To check that customer requirements are fully determined, reviewed, and considered in all project activities.
- To ensure that Customer is duly informed of project Quality issues and progress.
- To check that Customer requests are answered with the relevant reactivity.
- To prepare, implement and update the Project Quality Plan (by Customizing the existing frame to the project requirements) in collaboration with the Project Manager, Engineering Manager and Erection and Commissioning Manager
- To review and to approve the project quality-related procedures.
- To check on a regular basis that quality-related activities are in line with the project time schedules Processes & Instructions
- To check and to ensure that necessary project processes & instructions are implemented and are in line with Customer expectations, legal requirements, and internal instructions.
- To check that quality instructions shared by partners at consortium level are aligned with Customer expectations and project Quality needs.
- To check that relevant Quality instructions are duly transmitted to and followed by external partners, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
- To direct the quality activities, interfaces and reviews in all project activities, liaising with customers, external authorities, project Quality staff, internal departments, suppliers and subcontractors on matters related to quality.
- To check that necessary Quality resources are duly allocated to the project and to train quality personnel assigned to the project.
- To deploy necessary awareness Quality sessions and trainings
- To integrate the Quality approach within the project risk management
- To participate in the project and design gate reviews
- To manage and to maintain the follow-up tables of deviations (NC) and snag lists.
- To monitor and to communicate the progress regarding the Project Quality objectives
- To plan, organize and run monthly project quality reviews
- To prepare and provide with monthly reporting to Project and to Unit Quality Management on the performance / the effective results of the implementation of the project quality plan and on relevant improvement actions
- To monitor the Project Quality Budget and to inform the Project Manager and the Unit Quality Management accordingly
- To establish, supervise and participate in the Quality audit program dedicated to the project
- To ensure necessary corrective actions are implemented
- To represent the project during Customer or external quality audits Suppliers and Sub-contractors Quality
- In coordination with the concerned internal departments, to establish, maintain and monitor the Inspection and Test Plan and the Site Quality Plans for all project supply and site activities
- To liaise with the sourcing and Construction departments in Quality aspects related with supplier and sub-contractors assessment before selection, expediting during manufacturing, Factory Acceptance Tests, Traceability, Site Supervision, Site Acceptance Tests and quality records
Requirements of the Senior Quality Assurance Specialist
- Strong skill/experience in Design and gate review process.
- Strong skill/experience in Development of deliverable quality plan.
- Should have some strength across all QHSE aspects.
- Ideal candidate should have knowledge of CDM regulations.
- Ideal candidate would have worked in EPC projects before.
- Ideal candidate should be able to lead a cross functional investigation.
