Senior C&I Engineer

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Senior C&I Engineer on a 6 month contract based in Renfrew.  

This Role is inside IR35

Responsibilities of the Senior  C&I Engineer

• ability to work with minimal supervision and capable of identifying and developing project wide design deliverables with familiarity of the interpretation of appropriate national & international industry standards.
• working within a project team to lead C&I engineering and C&I teams across a range of industry sectors.
• developing/checking SIL verification calculations and Safety Requirements Specifications, you will be capable of specifying PLC / DCS / ESD / SIS hardware and software system modifications including working with control system vendors and Client applications and systems engineers.
• Development of C&I project deliverables and monitoring of third-party contractor and control systems vendor progress.
• interfacing with Client Engineers and Vendor personnel to facilitate project execution.
• Must be experienced with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), particularly associated with Honeywell DCS Systems

Requirements of the Senior C&I Engineer

• You must have Principal level experience in instrumentation and controls engineering.
• Must be experienced with IEC 61511 Safety Lifecycle and Emergency Shutdown System architecture and design and SIL determination.
• You must be experienced with C&I Proposals, hour estimates, budget control, change management and schedule management. You will must be experienced with attendance and contributing to HAZOP, LOPA, Alarm Reviews and SIL Determination as well as FSAs
